The Plant: Melon (Rich in Mucilages & Minerals)
Melon is a vine plant of the Cucurbitaceae family, genus Cucumis. Wild melon varieties were domesticated approximately 4,000 years ago in tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas and Asia.
Melon is a sweet, pleasant-tasting fruit naturally rich in hydrating mucilages, essential sugars, B-complex vitamins (especially Niacin or B3, which performs essential barrier-restoring functions for skin), bioflavonoids, and key mineral salts such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, and manganese.
